On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. At the same time, a different war started in cyberspace, with hundreds of thousands of hackers flocking to the Ukrainian banner to counter Russian efforts online. This session will cover the cyberwar to date, including the failures and successes on both sides and the impact it’s had on the conflict. We’ll also use the Ukrainian conflict as a prism to evaluate whether cyberwar can have a concrete impact on a conflict or if it’s really a myth.
