Dan York is the Director of Internet Technology at the Internet Society, where he is a leader for the 2023 Sustainable Technical Communities project. He previously led projects around Low Earth Orbit satellites and open Internet standards, including TLS, DNSSEC, IPv6 and routing security. Dan has been active in the Internet Engineering Task Force and spent more than 10 years working with Voice-over-IP security. He is the author of multiple books on networking, security, IPv6 and Linux. He enjoys running, hiking, kayaking and curling.
