The January 26, 2023, release of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF 1.0) came at a particularly auspicious time: ChatGPT had been released just a month earlier and quickly demonstrated the ability to identify weaknesses in code, generate malware and craft convincing phishing emails. NIST’s rationale for the development of the framework was to better manage risks associated with AI for individuals, organizations and society associated. In this session, data protection attorneys will offer their perspectives on the potential for the framework to manage risks for your organization.
